Job Elements: -
• To ensure maintenance of professional standards of engineering within the engineering function.
• To lead the engineering resources to establish and meet the works annual plan and manufacturing requirements.
• Formulate and monitor the engineering expenditure budget.
• To lead the engineering continuous improvement process and propose new engineering philosophies and solutions to support the manufacturing plan.
• To propose capital expenditure schemes to develop the plant, equipment and control systems to maintain and develop the works facilities.
• To manage the works environmental programmes to satisfy the Environmental Agencies and the ISO 14001 requirements.
• To develop engineering succession along with training and development plans and professional engineering training for individual engineers to achieve accreditation by professional institutions.
The ideal candidate will have:
• The job holder should be a Chartered Engineer with at least 5 years senior engineering experience within the heavy engineering industry in process plants.
• Must have proven successful management experience at departmental level in engineering management.
• Formal general management training at a senior management or business school is desirable.
